Yamaha 882 Xeno Series Trombone

The open wrap, narrow slide, large bell YSL-882O is from the professional grade Xeno series of Yamaha.

The one-piece axial seam 8-11/16 inch bell allows for optimal projection. The narrow slide ensures precision movement. The open wrap F-attachment on the Xeno is as open and resistance free as you can get.

Pressure formed tubing and a rounded slide crook open the feel of this instrument even further.Other features on this top of the line horn are a very comfortable, ergonomically designed thumb paddle and a counter balance weight in the gooseneck.

Developed by Peter Sullivan, Principal Trombonist of the Pittsburgh Symphony, the YSL-882O can effortlessly transition from brilliant to ominous when played by an experienced artist.Response is very even in all registers with a singing, colorful, open sound. The overtones and slotting are sublime in this very well balanced horn.

Players of the Conn 88H and the Bach 42BO have switched to the YSL-882O for a clearer, smoother experience which is saying a lot about this instrument.
